Default Automaker Bailout.

I listened to Governor Granholm today as she spoke on the Automaker bailout. She was happy to say that President Bush had taken the project in hand.

She also stated that without helping the auto industry we would see a worsening in the economy. The kind that would affect the nation catestrophically. She had that much right. Without our manufacturing base we have little left to go on.

We need manufacturing as a part of our ability to potect our nation. If we can't produce cars we can't produce the vehicles needed in times of war. Plain and simple truth is that we are opening ourselves up to caterstrophic losses across the board.

So many families depend on the automaker companies for jobs and have for untold years. Can you imagine not having American made cars anymore. That would leave us in an aweful situation. We need to avoid this at all costs. All of this bailout stuff really worries me but this is something that I think we need to do to ensure our futures.
