Default Below minimum Wage

I can understand some places of business paying employees below minimum wage. Places like Ma and Pa shops and what not. Those are the places that are legally allowed to pay below the set required amount.

However this does not include Wendy's. This is a larger business that has the funds to pay employees the proper amount, but they don't.

Now how is this allowed?? It's not right and everyone working for the company is getting ripped off. I don't know how long they have been doing this but it needs to be stopped.

Hell people can't manage to get their ends to meet as it is, so the last thing that they need is to get ripped off by their employer.

In most cases they only get away with it because people aren't going to the proper authorities and complaining.

The notice about wages ecetera that they are required to post has a phone number ecetera that these people can call.

These companies will get away with it until someone gets wise and does what is necessary to stop them.

I agree that these companies need to stop these practices. Companies like Wendys are not like restaurants that pay waitresses much less than minimum wage because the waitresses make up the difference (and usually more than that) because they get tips - at least they do if they do their job well.

If I'd been offered less than minimum wage for a job, you'd better believe I'd be calling to report it!! It's already almost impossible to live on minimum wage, making less than that is ridiculous!!

I guess I need to make a phone call. It doesn't appear that anyone who actually works for the company has the guts to fight for their rights.

I don't understand how a company like Wendy's does this to it's employees! It isn't like they have a problem with business or have been closing down and what not. They have the money to pay the correct amount to everyone.

Cant you call the Better Business Bureau for something of this nature? It would seem that these practices could be stopped if people would just take the time to make the call.

Here is the toll free number for the Better Business Bureau. 1-800-362-0494.

Give them a call and if they cant help you, they will give you the phone number to call the proper place to register a complaint.
