Default Big Business Helping Others

I am not sure if this is something that is really going to happen or not, but someone I know works for a large retail comany here in my area and he told me that they are planning to hire in more people to help out with the area.

I have also heard that there are actually people working in these companies right now that are messing around big time in what everyone thinks is an attempt to be fired. Now that is some stupid thinking right there.

Anyway I am hoping that these large companies do hire in more people even if it is for only a few hours a week. People are in need of employment right now this can seriously be helpful to many.

Has anyone else heard any rumors like this spreading around as well?? I do hope so and I hope it really comes to pass to help people out.

I hadn't heard that but I have read that some banks are trying to help small business's. It is these business's that hire most of the people in my area.

Many places have been turned down for loans for various reasons and many risked closing because of it. In other news however there are places that are trying to help them out.

Quote:

Chase (NYSE: JPM) announced today that is has exceeded its goal of providing $10 billion of credit to American small businesses in 2010. The loans were extended to more than 250,000 small businesses with annual sales of less than $20 million by Chase's Business Banking, Commercial Banking and Business Card businesses.
Year-to-date, Chase's lending to small businesses is up more than 40%. Chase is now ranked the #1 Small Business Administration (SBA) lender in America.
"Small businesses are putting these loans to use every day in cities and towns all across the country, creating jobs and helping our economy get back on its feet," said Michael Cleary, CEO of Business Banking in Retail Financial Services.
"Lending is the heart of our business and what drives the economy," said Todd Maclin, CEO of the Commercial Bank. "Without credit, our clients don't grow and we don't grow."

I am hoping that others are going to follow suit and keep people working by keeping these business open.

You are so right when you say that it is small businesses that help keep people employed and keeping those businesses alive and well is very important everywhere.

With the economy being what it is today and all the jobless folks out there, all the help in the jobs department is desperately needed.

Hopefully this trend will continue and even more banks etc will see the importance of keeping small business alive. After all it takes working people to put their money in the banks so its for their own benefit in the long run.
