Default BPs execs may be ousted in August.

THe chairman of BP, Carl-Henric Svanberg may lose his job at BP in August due to the fact that he took so long to become publicly active in the oil spill.

Also, CEO Tony Hayward may be asked to resign in August. The only thing keeping Hayward there is Board backing.

The resignation of these two wont do a lot toward sloving BPs problems but might assauge some of the ill feelings harbored by shareholders etc.

I wonder though why gas prices are still staying steady? Is it because BP is being charged enough fines to cover any increase of prices at the pump? Our gas prices are staying pretty steady in our area. How about yours?

Will replacing these two men be hard to do? One wouldnt think so since they apparently werent doing what needed to be done. Only time will tell with this one.

Well, the latest news is that BP has stopped the oil flow from further polluting the ocean, but the bad news is that it is a temporary fix at best.

This is an expermental cap and may not last long but those at BP are hoping that it will last long enough for 2 relief wells can be drilled to take the pressure off the existing well so that the seal can be made with mud and concrete.

Hopefully this temp seal will last until they can get the refief wells done and relieve enough pressure so that they can permanently seal this horrible leak.

I hope that they lose their jobs. Its the least they deserve for how they have acted. It is crap that they let it go for as long as they did. There is no reason that they shouldnt have had a plan for something like this happening. Its even worse that they knew there were problems going on on that rig and just ignored it. I cnt believe that they had the tinasity to make the comment that "The gulf isn't the only place to catch shrimp". Someone that has that kind of disregard for peoples livelyhoods or for the planet need to lose their jobs.

I also have to say that these two men deserve to lose their jobs. No one should more or less make a joke out of something that is truely serious.

People depend on the fish and shirmp in the area to support themselves and their families and then to hear that a BP employee make such a horrible comment is not right at all.

Hopefully in August they will know themselves what it is like not to have a much needed income when they lose their jobs.

I am glad that the has been stopped, heaven knows it has been flowing freely for a long enough period of time. Though hopefully they will get it fixed to the point where it is no longer a worry at all.

I do believe that there are more employees at the BP company who should also be losing their jobs as well. If people knew that there were things wrong with the rig and didn't make sure that was taken care of then should not have a job either.

There are a whole lot of people in this country right now who would love to step in and take those jobs happily!!

I am all for them losing their jobs as well and many other along with those two. There is no doubt that lots of BP employees were not doing their jobs and the result was disasterous on so many levels. Will take decades for the enviroment to recover if it can at all and the lives that were lost, well there is no recovery from that.

I was watching some television show this morning that was talking about the oil spill and they said that they did get it capped at least for now but the guages were not showing as much pressure as they felt they should and so they think there may be another leak somewhere. They are looking into it now.

I just read too that BP is putting out a mobile claims office in the form of an RV for those in Louisiana who cannot make it to a brick and mortar office. I hope every Tom, Dick and Harry who has any sort of claim at all goes and gets BP for all they can.

I doubt if it will ever recover fully especially where it reached land. The last oil spill in Alaska was bad but not nearly this bad. If you see some of the reports about it you can see that a decade later the land still hasnt recovered. the ground is still contaminated and they say that if it ever recovers it still wont be for a long time to come. Its just to bad that these people dont have the heart to care about anyone else. The only thing they seem to care about is that they make money. Talk about greed at its finest.
