Default Businesses coming and going.

Our local area has suffered the loss of Value City, which was a great store as far as quality of merchandise and prices.

Then we find out that 155 Circuit City stores will be closed, which I am not sure includes ours. But now we have a new business that just opened up.

Its called Sleep Outfitters. But will this one small business be enough to pick up the slack when it comes to people that are now or will be unemployeed because of other stores that have closed?

It may not supply a lot of jobs, but whatever ones there are will be a welcome relief to some of the areas unemployed. And now during the holiday season, jobs are something that we need badly here.

I am hoping that this is a business that will be able to last, and not one that will just survive for a short time. Perhaps, because of the fact that it is the type of store that it is, it will survive, because shoppers wont have to leave the immediate area to shop for what this store offers.

Default Re: Businesses coming and going.

You are right, there are to many stores which are comming and going quickly. It is hard to keep track of which stores are actually still in business and which ones are not. I was sad about all the closings of the Circuit City's, cause there are enough people right now who are out of work. I do hope that our local Circuit City isnt one of the ones which will be closing. We live in a small area and jobs are really scarce, people are being forced to drive great distances to and from work for employment. We need a serious boost in our economy to help get thing back on track.
