Companies Cutting Expenses

Boy companies are really cutting expenses where ever they can. I know the company I work for sure is.

I'm not going to mention any names because I cannot afford to lose my job but things are getting quite ridiculous with how much they are cutting back on things to save money.

Our corporate office now controls our air conditioning. Yea, they control it from their nice and cool offices. Nice huh? It is so hot it is to the point of being ridiculous. We may as well be out in the scorching sun all day, it's almost the same temperature as it is inside.

They have also put all of the lights on sensors. So when we hit the button and then leave to go to our cars at night, it's pitch black out there. I think that is ridiculous and it puts our safety at risk.

They have also cut payroll back so far that we can barely cover needed hours. It's just ridiculous. We give and give and they just keep taking.

A company I used to work for a while ago also started doing this crap to us as well.

Though it didn't last for long because we got tired of it. Contact your District Manager and speak to him or her about what is going on and how you feel about it.

Having no lights to get to your cars is just insane. There are so many people right now desperate for money that god only knows what they would be willing to do. Let your DM know that your safety is an issue that your not willing to negotiate. If something were to happen to one of you, there could be a huge law suit filed against the company for security reasons.

Next off get your customers complaining about the air conditioning. If your DM gets reports about how hot the store is then guess what is going to happen. They are going to make it more comfortable for customers. They should do it for employees, but that's not how it works, (also if you sell food items and its soft or melting this also helps).

Get people involved in this and you will surely get the way things are run changed quickly. I know because I helped get it all going where I used to work.
