Default Good News From GM

Wow, suprisingly General Motors has some good news to report for a change. They say they will not be needing a $2 billion dollar loan from the government this month. They say they have more moeny on hand than they had expected.

They say they have the extra money because of the cost cutting efforts they have been implementing.

They have already received $13.4 billion dollars from the governemnt and they do expect to need a lot more through 2011, up to $16.6 billion dollars.

The Canadian Auto Workers union have also agreed to a new contract that will cover 10,000 hourly workers there. They say 87% of their members voted for the contract.
