Google Layoffs 100

Another company is struggling in these bad economic times. Google is laying off 100 employees and closing three of their offices.

Google has reported that they are closing three engineering offices and that they are eliminating 100 recruiters from their workforce. They say the state of the economy is the reason for these actions.

The three offices that are set to close are located in Austin, Texas, Trondheim, Norway and Lulea, Sweden.

They say at this point their desire is to create a smaller number of more effective engineering sites. They don't want to cut down on number of people we have working on engineering projects or reduce their global presence.
