Google Layoffs Total 200

Google has announced they will be cutting jobs in Global sales and marketing. They will be laying off about 200 people.

They say the reason for this is rapid expansion and that they will be offering those new positions within the company.

They looked at several different options but decided this was the best way to go for the company. They have had to restructure in order to become more efficient and this was the best way to accomplish that.

They said they will allow each individual time to find another position within the company and for those who decide to leave the company, they will receive a severance package.

At least they are trying to keep those people employed in some way. They could have just cut them loose and said sorry but too bad.
