Default Holiday Rushes

Well with the holidays up and coming so quickly, there are a whole lot of business that are starting to hire in help to help them compensate for the holiday shopping rushes.

One good thing about all of this going on is that it is going to help those who have been out of work to get back into action once again. Bad part about this is that come around the middle January or so, most of these people will once again be out of work.

However at least over the next couple of months they will be earning a paycheck once again. Now from what I have seen over the years, most companies that do hire in holiday help tend to keep a few of those people on payroll if they prove to be good workers during the holidays.

Now it is to bad that there isn't a miracle out there that will allow all those who are out of work due to layoffs to find work again that isn't just something for a short period of time.

One thing you can do if you need holiday work is to pick a company that offers a lot of room to grow (or one where you can benefit from a substantial discount on its products...if anything, for Christmas presents). Once you find a place you like, work hard enough that they like you too much to let you go. With so many chain stores, personnel swamps are definitely possible, so even if you don't get a position at one particular location, ask that you might be considered for a position elsewhere.

Right now it is almost impossible for anyone to be picky about the type of work that they can get. Jobs are almost impossible because businesses are still struggling and some are closing down forever.

So attempting to be picky about the kind of work you want to do and so on is just one way to ensure that you don't find employment at all.

There are many people who are more than happy to take on any job possible and those are the ones who are going to find employment and most likely if they are hard workers they will find themselves with a job to last.

Any job and an income right now sure as hell beats having no job at all and no income what so ever.

Seasonal work is a plus if you are lucky enough to get it, but what about those that arent able to get the seasonal work. What will they do for Christmas gifts and dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas for their kids and families?

I think that we need to have an Adopt a Family attitude this holiday season. Find a family with children and help them out with food and gifts. Otherwise there are children around us that are going to have a might bleak holiday season.

I for one am going to find such a family in our area and help them out as best I can so that the holidays will be much nicer for the whole family.

Oh gosh I really don't even want to think about Christmas yet! Everything is so expensive anymore. Every year it's harder and harder to do for the kids. I have bought them each one little Christmas gift a piece so far but thats all.

As far as jobs go. Thank your lucky stars if you have one. They are hard to come by. A lot of the bigger stores do hire extra help for the holidays and they will offer some people permanent jobs if they prove to be worthy.

I wish we hired extra help where I work for the holidays but we don't. It makes it tough to get everything done without any extra help during the busy holiday season.

We just had our inventory done at our store last Wednesday. It went very well so in two weeks I should find out what kind of raise I am to get. If it's anything like in the past it won't be worth mentioning but I am desperate so anything is better than nothing at all!

In our area there are ways of making donation to people who don't have much for the holiday seasons.

This is something that more areas need to get on board with. There are many parents out there who have been laid off and now don't have the income needed to support themselves and have a holiday celebration.

I always try to give a little something to these organizations, but it can be difficult because I don't make enough money myself really, but I always do what I can.

If your area doesn't offer something like this then maybe you can get something like this going now, so that it will be running for when the holidays roll around.
