I used to do a lot of Ebaying and I know first hand how expensive it can be to ship items. Especially if you need to ship overseas.

Shipping is definitely a big expense for business's. Small business's more than anything because it is harder for them to get any sort of deals with carriers because they don't ship as much as large business's do.

There are a couple of things that you can do to to combat shipping costs.

First of all try to ship items together if possible.

By a postage scale to weigh your items to get the best deal.

Use the boxes and envelopes that the post office offers if the items will fit because they ship for one flat rate no matter the weight.

Make sure the cost of the item that you sell includes shipping.

Yes shipping as much as possible together can save you money, also now that the post office has that if it fits it ships thing going on you can save a lot with it.
