Default Small Struggling Companies

Of course I don't know how things are going every where in this country, though I do know that in my area where I live in a small town we have one small family owned store that is seriously struggling to stay opened.

They have kept their prices low so that area people could afford to purchase, though this of course has hurt the bottem line of the business.

The owners are seriously thinking of closing their doors before things get worse than they are. Though now that my not need to happen.

Once word got out just how bad things were for this little store, more people started shopping there rather than driving to other stores in the area to purchase things that they need.

This store has been in business for many, many years and it would be a shame to see it close down because of the poor economy. Though hopefully people will continue shopping there and things will start looking up for them.

They have even started to raise a few of their prices as well, but have managed to keep them still cheaper than most of the surrounding stores.

It is a real shame that these small businesses have to struggle so hard to stay on top.

I sometimes think though that it would be just as cheap to shop at this little store as it would be to drive miles to a larger store just to save a few cents on purchases that you are going to lose to the cost of gasoline to get you to the other store.

Its great though that your town is rallying together to help save this store. We need more people in this world that do care and the store owners, I imagine, only have the store as their only income.

Hopefully they wont have to close.
