Sony is cutting out some of it’s parts suppliers. They plan on cutting cost by 5.3 billion. Sony will go from 2,500 to about 1,000 parts makers next year.

Sony will give more business to a supplier and hopes it will cut down the price. The more business they give to a supplier, the cheaper it will be for them.

The drop in prices for the consumer, has also hurt Sony. The prices of their products has dropped 15% to 20%.
