Default Toyota profit $1.2 bln as sales recover

Toyota got back to profit in the latest quarter as the world's top carmaker cut costs and took a ride on the global auto sales recovery while fighting to salvage its reputation for quality.

The automaker's top executive and analysts, said Toyota is still far from a full recovery while another potential blow to its image looms after U.S. federal authorities launched a new investigation into a steering recall.

Why would anyone trust Toyota now, when I go buy , next car it will not be a Toyota, I still do not trust them myself.

I do not really trust any car anymore. they are doing so many things to cut cost, but yet the prices of a car keep going up and up. I do not understand this at all. And they make them now so you have to go to a specialist to find out what is wrong, not just anyone can work on them anymore.
