Default Wal-Mart being sued

Labor lawsuits pending against Wal-Mart. One, in Massachusetts, relates to racial discrimination and another, in Ohio, relates to the company’s disability practices.

After being harassed by his coworkers for many months, Majid Hamade, an employee of the Wal-Mart in Brockton, Massachusetts, was fired for tapping one of his tormentors on the forehead. While this seems like an unfairly strict punishment for the crime, more outrageous is the fact that no disciplinary action has ever been taken against Hamade’s coworkers, despite numerous complaints against them.

So now how will this effect the prices at Wal-Mart, is what I am now wondering.

This case is going to the Supreme Court which really surprised me.

There have been many complaints about the way Walmart treats its employees among it sex discrimination in as much as women get paid less than men for doing the same job, which is not right any way you look at it. If a woman can do the same job as a man she deserves the same pay.

To not punish the tormentors of that one man is a shame. He gets fired because he finally had enough, and the tormentors get off scot free. Poor business tactics. Fire the tormentors too. Otherwise, yes, I do see the racial discrimination there.

Hopefully it wont effect prices but we all know how that goes dont we?

I have a friend who works for Walmart. She has been there many years and has been passed over for many positions.

Each time the positions were given to men. If you look you will see women who are indeed in charge but they aren't upper management. You will also notice that these women have bosses who are MEN.

Its a shame but I am hoping that this case is handled properly and that walmart will at last be free from sexual biggotry.

I have heard about lots of lawsuits and things going on with Wal-Mart. It's really a shame that they don't treat their employees better than they do. It also suprises me that they would let those types of things happen because it does hurt their reputation.

If the things they are accused iof are true I hope they have to pay a penalty for them. Maybe then they will change.

Walmart is one of the most popular stores in this country because they over the most products that the people want. Because of this they have also grown to the point where they apparently think that they are above all else and can do as they please without fear of what will happen.

I hope that all of this changes. Over the past year I have heard so many different complaints about Walmart that I am surprised that there aren't more lawsuits being issued against them in all states.

Hopefully in the future things will get straightened out and there won't be any more problems. It is at least something to hope for.
