Default Wal-Mart is Criticized

Wal-Mart is being criticized for trying to be too politically correct. Some want Wal-Mart to do things like support universal health insurance, or rein in executives' high paychecks. Then there is Peter Flaherty saying Wal-Mart is too nice to unions, and too concerned about the environment.

Quote:
For investors, most annual meetings are anything but a hot ticket. They're typically held in small auditoriums and feature an agenda that makes C-Span look like an action thriller. Then there's Wal-Mart, the Arkansas-based retailer whose shareholder meetings are celebrity-packed, high-wattage showcases.

What is Wal-Mart executives to think? Seems they are wrong no matter which way they turn. Quite a dilemma for them! No matter what happens, I think Wal-Mart has the right idea in trying to persuade the public to be conscious of the environment, and I for one was very happy that they didn't want cd's sold there that contained inappropriate language for children. I applaud their efforts.

I would rather shop at Walmart than KMart or Target. I know that I can get what I am looking for and for a pretty reasonable price. And All the employees are very friendly and nice to deal with when I do have a Question. Somtimes they are slow to react to my needs but for the most part they johnny on the spot.
