Your Opinion On The BP Spill

I am fairly sure that by now everyone on the planet has heard about the BP oil spill which is STILL flowing in the Gulf area.

I am wondering what everyone thinks about everything that is going on in this situation.

I know that so far BP has not been able to stop the leak and for nearly 3 months the oil has been leaking into the ocean, killing wildlife. Also BP has set up claim centers in the area because fishermen in that area are now out of work because of course the ocean is covered with oil. Though people attempting to claim benefits from the BP claim centers have been turned away because the claim centers had the wrong paper work.

I have heard rumors that BP is going to cover all the costs of the clean up and so on. That is going to be in the millions of dollars, I don't know their financial situation, but something tells me that we the people are going to end up paying something for this effort.

I am just curious to know what all of you think about all of the shit going on because of this oil spill.

In my opinion,I think that BP should be held fully resaponsible for all of the clean up and damage to the economy.

I also think that they should have to stop drilling for oil that far under the ocean until they can prove that there is a better plan in effect for events like this one.

This would prevent such a tramatic and damaging event to happen to us again.

Well the oil of course is still flowing into the oceans and causing more damage to the environment as well as killing wildlife.

Though something I recently read about wildlife rescues is that if an animal say a pelican is covered in oil and is rescued, but its found that the animal has a broken wing... they simply euthanize the animals rather than attempting to save their lives.

I read the reason they are doing this is because its not in the budget to rehabilitate these animals. Now this is something that seriously upset me because these animals are dying because a company was to blind in their actions and only after money. Now the wildlife that is caught in the oil spill is largely paying the price, they are paying with their lives.

Now I strongly believe that BP should not only pay for the entire cost of the oil clean up, but also to help those animals rather than just allowing them to be killed off for injuries that are not life threatening.
