Default A Cap on Execs Pay?

As the American citizen continues to be outraged by the amount of money that executives make each year, a debate is growing on whether there should be a cap put on the amount of money those executives can make.

A popular proposal is to put a cap on the CEO's pay at a company at 20 times the pay of the average worker. In other countries, executives are paid around one-fifth of what an American executive makes.

The fear is that companies wouldn't get the best executives if pay caps were put into place.

Some people think that it would be unfair to the executives and the companies to put caps on all executives salaries, but think that caps should be put on the salaries of the executives that are getting bail-out money from the government.

What do you think? I'd like to hear your opinions on this one.

I think that any excuse works when it comes to them keeping ridiculous amounts of money. As far as good executives go I don't see them. All of those companies that are asking for bailouts or that have failed had or have high paid executives. It didn't make them any smarter or any wiser now did it.

I couldn't agree with you more - and feel that those companies that have asked for bailout money should put caps on the amount of money that the execs make. It's only fair, in my opinion.
