Default Circut City closing 155 stores.

Circuit City has decided to close the doors on 155 of their stores. In these hard economic times it doesn't surprise but it is disappointing. This number adds up to 20% of it stores and will make a 17% cut in employees.

They will have store closing sales which will of course spur spending but it of course won't save the stores. The loss of more jobs is something that I hate to see and pray that all will soon end.

In local news we are also loosing 2 business's a local coffee shop and a local book store. On top of that a local manufacturer is selling its local plant and several others.

We need help folks. Fewer and fewer jobs means more and more crime. People have to eat and if they can't find jobs and can't get help from local agencies they will do what they feel they have to do. I pray for a light at the end of the tunnel.

It's scary to think of all these jobs being lost and businesses going under. So many people in our area are out of work, and having a hard time making ends meet. I too am praying for a light at the end of the tunnel.

Somebody just mentioned this to me last night. I cannot believe they are closing. They always seem to be pretty busy and I always find good deals there. I will certainly miss Circuit City!
