Default Control Spending in this Economy

With our economy seemingly out of control and not likely to get much better any time soon, it's important that we find ways to get through the hard times without losing our shirts.

Do you spend without even realizing how much it's costing you in a year's time? These "hidden" expenditures that so many of us are guilty of making can really add up over time and put us in the red.

Take charge of your finances by keeping track of all the spending that you do in a week. How much are you spending on lunch? Or what do you spend on that morning coffee before work? Are you saving money by spending less money on those jean from the bargain rack, or do you really need another pair?

Get a little notebook and write down every purchase that you make in a week's time - longer if possible - you may be surprised at how much you are spending unnecessarily that you really could be saving!
