Default Economy Causing Commuter Marriages

The poor state of our economy is forcing families to make some very hard decisions. One of the decisions that many couples are making is to live apart in order to work.

With jobs so hard to find, and more and more businesses failing. Surveys are finding that workers are much more apt to move in order to get a job - whether the rest of the family can move or not.

Spouses who are left behind with the responsibilities of raising a family, basically on their own, say that it's difficult to live this way, but it's a necessity at this time. Sometimes it's months between visits home, which is hard on both spouses, and the children too. Technology is what seems to be helping to keep the families hopeful, as they can communicate frequently online.

Default Re: Economy Causing Commuter Marriages

This is such a sad subject to me. Its hard enough to keep a family together and to keep your beliefs and moral standards instilled in your children, so that they grow up to become decent citizens and good people, the way you want them to growup, and to be responsible and caring individuals, and now, with our world being so hard to just survive in, causing families to separate, it makes it that much harder to achieve your goals as a parent and spouse.

I commend any family who has to go through this and still keeps their family's values together.

cheers to you!
