Default Fears about the Economy

In a recent article I read about the nation's feelings on the economy said that our citizens are becoming pretty disheartened about the current economy, and have cut back on their spending (some have cut back "sharply").

Fears about making mortgage payments are rising and many people see our economy going into a long-term, serious decline. Losing jobs or having to take pay cuts or a cut in hours is another concern for many of the people.

It seems that our countrymen are anxious about what will transpire over the next few months, and that the current economy is a cause of stress in their lives, some saying that the economy is causing "serious anxiety".
Mostly this stress comes about with the fear of job losses and pay cuts that have impacted their families becoming even worse in the near future.

Things will get a lot worse, I am afraid before we see a change! We live in one of if not the richest country in the world, and yet we get in a fix like we are in. What does this say to other countries?

I agree. Its ridiculous that this country got into such a bad situation as this. But, its to late for blame now, we have to concentrate on living, and helping others get by also. My husbands company is about to go down to 32 hours a week, so its starting to effect his company now to. It was expected sooner or later, every other company is doing the same thing every day a new one joins in, some are even letting whole departments go.
