Default Ford sales decline in April.

Only one day after Chrysler filed for bankruptcy, the new sales quotes for April came out, and they were not very good.

Ford sales dropped 31.6% during April, and shares of Ford fell 8 cents to $5.78.

Truck sales at Ford fell 33%. While Chrysler is expecting a 39% decrease in sales, and GM has posted a 36% decrease in sales.

One has to wonder why those in the know find these drops so surprising. With the amount of unemployed people in the US right now, and everyone else wondering how safe their jobs are, people just arent spending what money they have.
