Garden Sharing
Garden sharing is where several people in a community plant different fruits and veggies. Then when it comes time to harvest everything, everyone shares what they have grown.
This is a great way to help deal with these horrible economics we are all facing. This is a huge saver of money, especially if you are able to get several people to plant gardens with enough to share.
This is something that several neighbors and we are doing this year. We have planted 16 cucumber plants, large grape vine, 16 tomato plants and 6 rows of corn. Other neighbors are growing many onions, peppers, watermelons, green beans, squash, cantalope and so on.
Come harvest time, everyone will have enough fruits and veggies to last throughout the winter months and proably even more.
We have also gotten the kids involved in the gardening. They help everyone weed and water the gardens, which is teaching them how to grow a garden. Teaching them this now, will help them as adults when they themselves begin gardening later in life.
