Default Government Gifting Themselves

Here is another really good email that I got. Ya know, it isn't fait that the government wants to push their health care on us when they don't have it as well. It isn't fair that we pay inot SS and maybe get some benefit of it in the future... maybe, and their pays never decrease!

Being a government official is an honor. Not something that was ever intended to make them filthy rich.

Read the email, it is good. Pass it on.

Quote:
Congressional Reform Act of 2010

1. Term Limits.

12 years only, one of the possible options below..

A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

2. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

This is so unreal. Here we are putting these people into power and once they get it, it goes straight to their heads and then all they can think about is how much money they have in their pockets, how they can get even more and what should and shouldn't the people be doing.

I guess they prefer to sit around doing nothing and getting as much money as possible. Then again it sure sounds nice to me, though I am not that lucky I have to work for a living and they apparently don't.

I do not want to even get started on this subject.LOL Polititions are all crooks in my book! They do not care in the least about this country, all they care about is lining thier pockets and not worring about thier futures.

They all seem to forget what it means to be in office and who put them there and why.

I agree that all members of our government should have to live by the same rules we do. If they cash a bad check, nothing happens to them at all and they pay it whenever they want to.

They should have to participate in the Health Reform thing just the same as us. I dont think its fair that they get better health care than we do and it should not be free.

They should go back to work after they have served their terms and they should have to pay into Social Security and pay taxes just the same as we do.
