Default Holiday Shopping

I wonder how the stores are dealing with the horrible economic state this country is in and of course the fact that people are doing all that they can to save their money.

Even though I know people are saving all that they can, stores are expecting huge sales for the holidays. I wonder who is right...

Are people going to save their money and only buy just what is needed, or are the sales that the stores are offering and get people to spend that money they are trying to hold onto.

Our local Kmart and Walmart stores are having some great sales on items, so my guess is that people are going to end up spending as usual.

I know that I have spent more than I planned on gifts for Birthdays and Christmas already and there are still a few family members that I need to buy for. That is why I am guessing that people are going to be spending more.
