Default Michigans economy.

Well after reading a recent report on the number of people who have left the state I am not surprised that the economy is as bad as it is.

The states unemployment numbers reflect the fact that there aren't as many jobs as there used to be. Hence people leaving, they have all gone to find work elsewhere.

This state has always relied largely on automotive manufacturing for jobs and income. With everything that has happened in the industry it is no surprise that we are now struggling to get by.

With the issues occuring in Japan we may yet again take another hit in our manufacturing jobs. We do alot of work making parts for those vehicles and if they stop working so do we.

We need our state government to pull its head out of its preverbial ass and get this state back on its feet before there is no one left for them to worry about.

Every state in this country has taken a hit in one way or another. None have managed to escape the unemployment and other issues. I wish seriously that there was an easy fix for everything that is wrong in this country but sadfully nothing in life is ever that simply.

Though all that we can do is battle through it, try our best and hope that one of these days things will in fact get better.

I know there have been small business, bingo halls and other places shut their doors because of the economy. Though hopefully as I said things will change and maybe get better so that people aren't struggling so much!!

It worries me that so many just don't have the time to wait for things to improve. I know people who can't get jobs and have no medical insurance. They have serious medical issues that the free clinic can't handle and they will end up in worse trouble soon.

When the jobs finally get here they may not be here or may not be physically able to work anymore. Its sad to say but this country is going to hell in a hand basket and it seems like the people in charge just don't care.

Why would as you said those in charge care?? I mean let's face it they don't have any worries really.

They need to see a doctor they see one. They need a dentist, they see one. They don't have the problems of the people. Because of this they just don't care what happens. They claim to but they don't!

It would be nice if things would start getting better, but it is going to take a good while before that happens if it ever happens. Still that time we all are going to struggle and only hope to keep our heads above water.

I know it sucks bad. I have family all over the country and every state has its own issues.

What amazes me is that if you look at the government you will see they aren't doing without a thing as you said.

They still drive the cars that we paid for. If they break down the expense isn't coming out of their pocket its coming out of ours and I am damn sick of paying that bill.

So many have bitched about people on welfare. HELLO we have high faluting politions who guess what are collecting a form of welfare, via the taxes we pay out of our paychecks.
