National Debt

Ever notice how the national debt continues to constantly grow while politicians constantly say they are going to do this or that or something to help turn it all around and get this country back in the green again??

I have heard so many things about fixing the debt that I can't even remember them all.

If you had the power yourself what would you do and I mean really do to help take care of this countries debt??

Maybe if we list our ideas of what to do, politicans will get the idea and maybe really do something.

Wishful thinking, yeah I know, but it never hurts to wish!!

Not only is the national debt a huge issue for all of us but right now they are working on the Federal budget.

The current budget expires this Saturday.

Last week, the House did its part. It approved a $1.1 trillion "continuing resolution" to fund the government through the end of the fiscal year next September.
The House vote was 212 to 206. Now it's the Senate's turn.
The failure to extend funding could lead to furloughs of federal employees and a sharp reduction in governmental activities.

Here is my solution to both the deficit and the budget.

Treat government officials the same as us ordinary American citizens. Give them the same health care, comparable wages and Social security. Before we know it the money saved will take a dent out of the deficit and we will be within budget!
