Default Stimulus Bill Q & A

I was browsing the internet reading up on the new stimulus bill. It is more than 1,000 pages long I guess!

Here are some things I found out.

If you want to read the bill, you can do so at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations website or the Library of Congress.

There is a work tax credit included in the bill. This is money that will be spread out on paychecks starting in July until the end of the year. It is a total of $400 if you qualify. It will amount to about $15 a week by my understanding.

There is a tax credit for first time homebuyers in the amount up to $8,000. You must have purchased your home between January and November of this year and not have owned a home within the last three years. Some other stipulations are in place for this.

There are some pretty interesting things in this bill that should benefit a lot of people. The bad part is, we all have to pay for it in the end.

I have read alot of it and do not understand most of it. You bout have to be a lawyer to understand it. I still think it will boil down to the middle class incomes will be the ones paying for all of this, like always.

I have also heard that some of the money is to help the individual states. I did hear however that our state will get less than normal under this bill. I don't care either way as long as it does what it is intended to do. Save the economy from a complete meltdown.
