Stimulus package passed by Senate.

The $838B Stimulus Bill has been passed and Democratic Leaders are promising to have the legislation to the President within the next few days.

Obama wants to put back school construction jobs that had been cut, and to help states that are having trouble getting the funds to meet their responsibilities.

Obama wants tax cuts for lower income tax payers, and he also wants billions to go toward health care, unemployment benefits, food stamps and other programs that will help people that have been so hard hit during this economic turmoil.

Will this stimulus package help pull us out of the funk we are in as far as the economy is concerned, only time will tell.

I agree that time will only tell if this will really help the people out. Though I have to admit that I am hoping it does. It sounds like a great plan of action and with there being so many people who have been hit so hard due to the economy, I really hope that it works out as well as it sounds.
