Default We still have a Goverment for now

Lawmakers pushed through a last minute spending bill late Friday night to stop a shutdown and keep the federal government open for business. For how long?

The short term spending measure is the seventh in just the past six months to cut $2 billion and allows agencies to spend money through Friday. Will they be able to keep agreeing to stay open by the end of this week?

Lawmakers will try to put the finishing touches on a broader bill that will set funding levels for the remaining six months of the fiscal year at $38.5 billion lower than last year. That is alot less to make these people agree on.

I think it would be a great idea to not shut down the government but actually FIRE them all and get people in there who are willing to take care of this country and the problems in this country.

I know it will never happen but it is a good idea in my opinion. If they actually cared then maybe things wouldn't have gotten so bad to the point where there were few jobs, high gas prices, huge national debt and I am sure you get the picture, the list is practically endless.

Yes I agree they all should be fired, and start over with all new people who really care about the American people.

To bad it will never happen that way. Though it sure would be nice to find people who really care about America and its people instead of how much is heading into their own bank accounts.

Maybe one of these days there will finally be people like that in power but I don't see it happening in my life time.

Though it is nice to be hopeful!!!
