What is our world coming to?

I read this story and I am now sick to my stomach.

In Westbury N.Y. at a Long Island church a 46 year old woman is accused of reaching over a pew and taking cash from a purse while the owner of the purse was knelling.

This incident happened at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church.

As the woman was leaving the church, the police grabbed her. The have a usher as a witness to this crime.

The police believe this is not the first time she has taken money from someone at the church. On May 10th, some lady was taking communion and someone had money taken out of her purse as well. They do not have any proof of this yet.

If she is convicted, she faces up to a year in jail.

How can anyone steal from someone in church? Or anywhere as much as that goes? It is getting to the place where you don't even want to leave your house, or look anything up on the internet due to all the scamming going on.
