Default Auto Accident

Not to long ago a friend of mine was involved in an accident.

Actually she was rear ended by someone who wasn't paying attention to the road. Her car was barely damaged, and his truck was in need of some expensive repairs.

Even though he is gonna have to fork over money for repairs she let him go with out exchanging insurance information or involving the police.

The other driver talked her out of doing this because he in fact had no insurance, no drivers license and was on probation for heaven only knows what.

This is something that really upset me when she told me about this. Shortly after this accident happened she realized that both her back and neck were hurting quite a bit, and she enede up going to the hospital and paying for the bill herself because she didn't involve the police in her accident.

I just wanted to let you all know that if something like this happens to you, involve the police and do things the legal way as it should be!!!

Default Re: Auto Accident

I have only the basic insurance on my car as it is an older car and to have more, like full coverage is totally unnecessary.

But, besides the basic insurance, I also carry uninsured motorist just in case of something like this happening. That way, after making a police report and informing the insurance company, I would be able to get some help on the medical part because of this coverage.

These days its hard to have the money for everything we need so finding ways to protect yourself from uninsured motorists is the best way to go.

You should never leave the scene of an accident without filing a report. Irresponsibilty is the other drivers problem not yours. If they choose not to have insurance or to drive while restricted then they know the consiquences.

It is always possible that you will not immediately feel the effects of any injury right away. It may take several hours to a day. Having a report on file will save you the expense of the medical bills that follow. Please use your head and report an accident immediately.
