Hawaii Insurance comissioner retires

The Hawaiian Insurance comissioner is retiring to join a hawaiian law firm. Insurance commissioner J.P. Shmidt has decided to leave his postion and join a law firm called Bays Deaver Lung Rose Holma, a lawq firm that mainly deals with insurance.


Schmidt will be joining the firm as a legal council mainly for insurance issues. He started his new job As of the begiming of July. Schmidt was reknown for the remarkable assistance he made to the citizens of Hawaii. One major item he was able to accomplish was reducing workers comp premiums by 60%. He also managed to stabalize the home and auto insurance markets. One of the best things he accomplished was being able to rescind the liscences of several agents that victimized the elderly and denied them their rights.
