Health Insurance Costs on the Rise

Well it seems that health insurance costs are on the rise as if they didn't cost too much already.

This year there has been a 14% jump in the cost of family health insurance. That boils down to about $482 more dollars spent on family health insurance this year then last year.

Over the past five years, employees share of insurance premiums have risen 47%. That has outpaced a 27% jump in overall premiums and an 18% increase in wages, according to Kaiser.

My co-worker is currently spending almost $200 out of each paycheck for her families health insurance. She is paid bi-weekly. Thats almost $400 a month on just health insurance.

My mother-in-law has just gotten notice from her employer that hers is on the rise as well.

It's no wonder so many families are without insurance altogether. Who can afford it!!!
