Health insurance is something that everyone needs to have, yet many live with out it because of the high costs.

Not only does high costs keep people from having the health insurance needed but because well there have been a whole lot of people laid off from work which means that they can not afford it living on unemployment benefits.

This is where there are a couple things that can come in handy. There are hospital emergency rooms which have to see and help anyone who enters. This can come in handy when there is of course an emergency.

There are also free clinics all over the United States that can offer assistance to those who are in need.

The down fall to the free health clinics is that it can take a while to get into one and see a doctor, and some have been forced to turn people completely away because they are so booked.

Then the fall back is of course the emergency room. For those who are in need of medical help, simply head to the hospital if your in serious need of a doctor and ask for the Hill Burton papers. The name may be something different in other states, but if you mention that you have no insurance and no way of paying the bill, nurses will assist you in getting the proper papers to fill out to get the help that you need.

It's scary living with out any health insurance I know I've done it.
