Default Insurance discrimination.

I had no idea that this sort of thing was happening. I am also sure that many Americans didn't know either. According to a recent report insurance companies are using credit information to determine a persons eligibility.
They use the credit information to determine who gets insurance and how much it is going to cost that person. The insurance companies say that there is a correlation between low credit scores and high claims. This may be true but I believe that the are using this information as a way to hide their racially biased practices.
This isn't just my opinion there are others who feel this way. They also say that some communities have a history of lower credit scores and that they are being charged higher rates due to this alone. They aren't getting the breaks they deserve for being safe drives or none smokers.
What has the world come to? I thought that we were moving forward as a race. The human race which in my book consists of men and women.

Default Re: Insurance discrimination.

I did know of this although I do not agree with it either. This is not only how health insurance is calculated but all types of insurance from house insurance to vehicle insurance. It is ridiculous if ya ask me!
