Default Popular auto insurance not always cheaper

Most people have a rough time finding affordable auto insurance in our current economy. I myself have had to look into a lot of different insurance companies in order to find one within my price range.

In my progress I have found one lesser known company that will give you a low rate for the same coverage as the more known companies. For example I happen to have a firebird that i needed to get insured and was being told that my insurance rate would be between 150 to up to 200 dollars per month to get just the state minimum coverage in Michigan.

Thats when i happened upon one company called Dairyland. After getting a quote from them I found out that it would cost me no more than 117 dollars per month at least 30 dollars less than those cmpanies that try to claim that they have the lowest rates. I have been with them for over two years now and have had no problem with my coverage with them.

To get to the point as you can see from my experience dont automatically go with the more known companies make sure that you do a little research befor you settle for one company. If anyone else has found a lower rate company also please let me know.

Default Re: Popular auto insurance not always cheaper

I actually had Dairyland insurance for a while and then I got a quote from Progressive. Progressive ended up being $30 bucks cheaper a month for me. Don't get me wrong, Dairyland offered me great service but of course I went with the cheaper quote and the service is superb. I had gotten a quote from Geico who always promises the best rates. Well they were out of this world. They were more than double!

So many things factor in for your auto insurance quotes. Things such as points on license, wrecks, credit score, age and so on.

Even the color and style of your vehicle will dictate the price that you pay for auto insurance. For example, if you drive a red fiero you are going to pay a higher price than even for a green fiero.

If you drive a station wagon it will be cheaper than a sports car.

Having prior insurance with someone else will also help to lower your quote.

A lot of things factor in to the price you pay.
