Default Replacing Gutters And Roof

I don't know if anyone here can answer this one or not but it never hurts to try....

Some time soon my other half is going to need to have the gutters replaced on his home because well they are actually falling off the house, which his insurance will pay for.

Though from what I have seen where the gutter has already fallen off the house it looks like the wood is rotten, and this has me concerned.

Does anyone know if while the gutters are being removed if it is mentioned that the roof also needs to be replaced will that also be included on his insurance?

I really want to avoid calling his insurance agent because she just loves to talk Way to much!!!!

I am not sure how to go about handling this ordeal. If anyone can give their say on it I would appreciate the help!!

It is quite possible that his insurance would cover everything simply because some of the roof damage, if there is any, could have been caused by the hail storm we had in this area.

Have any of your neighbors had to have their roofs replaced because of that storm? If so, then his insurance should cover the roof repairs.

It is best, all the way around, to call his insurance agent and find out what is and what is not covered by his insurance. If some of these repairs are covered by insurance, it could save a lot of money in the long run. So make that call.

Ugg I hate the idea of calling her. I know by the time I manage to get off the phone my ears are numb!!

Now as for neighbors replaicing their roofs due to a hail storm I really don't know. I do know that one neighbor had to have their roof replaced though don't know why or what happened.

I rarely ever see them but the next time I do I will ask them what happened to their roof.

I am really hoping his insurance will cover everything, because we also have to have work done on the basement and the bathroom as well and he doesn't want to open his wallet that much,.

Well some good news, the gutters are going to be replaced this spring along witht he roof if needed. Which I think it is going to.

The insurance company is also going to remove most of the front porch and have it replaced as well as a safety measure.

I am glad that all of this is going to get done because I don't want to see things get worse and someone get hurt.

The only thing is that the plans are on hold until the weather gets nicer. Right not from where the gutter is missing, there are inches of ice and that means a safety hazard to workers. So the project is put on hold for a little while longer, but once the weather gets nice the work will begin.
