Default Road service

I have been wanting to get Road Service for quite a while now as we make several trips a month back and forth to the hospital in Pittsburgh and thats a 150 mile round trip. And one never knows when something might go wrong with ones car like dead battery, running out of gas, or whatever.

AAA wanted $156 a year for the first year for my husband and I then it would jump to $209 a year and that was with the premier road service.

I called Allstate which is where I have my auto insurance and got a better rate. At Allstate, I would be paying a straight $157 a year rate and this would also cover all the standard things that AAA has but also would include Tire Road Hazard which means that if you hit a curb and ruin your tire or rim, they would replace it up to a cost of $250 and because of the price at Allstate and the extra benefit, they are the ones I went with for Road Service Coverage.

So be sure to shop around when looking for any kind of insurance.

Shopping around is very important, roadside service is important to have if you are on the road a lot. You can not just pray nothing will go wrong with your car, anything can happen, but sure hope it does not.

I knew that I needed it when we last went to Pittsburgh and we had to leave the flashers on my car on while we were getting settled in to where we would be staying for the nite, the flashers on kept our car from being towed while we were signing in.

Anyway when we came out the battery was dead and to get a jump in a large city can be quite expensive. Luckily a woman came along that had Road Side Service and had the car jumped for us. We gave her $20 for her trouble because otherwise it would have cost us a lot more if we would have had someone else jump our car.

Now I dont have to worry about things like this in the future because now we are covered for these incidents.
