Default Work Place Insurance

My sweetie has worked for the same company for the last 16 years. Well almost 16 years. Next month is his anniversary.

Anyway every year he has to enroll in insurance to choose what he wants, payments and everything else.

Now he was nervous about doing this, because he isn't sure what he should or shouldn't get. This is why he asked me for help.

I read over everything carefully including the fine print and researched everything that I didn't understand. After several hours of reading and researching I was able to understand everything.

Then after asking him what he wanted along with how much protection he wanted I was able to get him signed up with the plan that he wanted and the one that would benefit him the most.

Also this year at his job they have even gotten the workers signed up on Afflack as well which is something that I like because if something should happen Afflack will step in and help with bills and what not while he is off work.

It is good that Afflack is offered at his workplace.

When my husband was diagnosed with cancer and unable to work any longer, we didnt have anything like this to fall back on and it was really hard making ends meet on what I make.

If we would have had the kind of insurance that would have paid the mortgage payment etc, we wouldnt have had it as hard as we did for several months.

From our experience, I would tell everyone to get the kind of insurance that pays your bills when you cant. No matter what the cost of the insurance, it would be well worth the sense of security that you would have instead of having to worry so much about how you are going to make it.

Believe me I am also glad that he was offered this added insurance and that he took it.

Now if something were to happen, which hopefully it won't that will seriously be one less thing to worry about.

I also have to say that the amount he has to pay per month for this insurance is extremely cheap!! Which is why I am looking into getting this insurance myself just to have a safety net in case something were to happen.

I am sorry to hear that you and your husband struggled so much during a time when there were more important things to be worrying about in your lives. Though hopefully those times have passed for you and all is well again with you both!!

That is exactly why I am glad that he got this insurance and I too am getting it because I don't want to have to worry about those kinds of things when something happens.

Things are getting better here but boy it was touch and go there for a good while. But with the help of our children, and one daughter in particular we were able to weather that financial storm and did come out on top without losing anything.

I think if I could, I would get an insurance like this if my husband is ever able to go back to work again. It sure would have helped.
