This is very sad for anyone who needs health insurance.
If you have to get new insurance you may be in for a
shock. Pre existing conditions cause many denials. If you
have been diagnosed with something and the treatment is
now over you may want a paper that states that you are
cured.

Based on your medical history, individual health insurers may deny you coverage -- or put you in such a high-risk category that it makes health coverage too expensive, according to Karen Pollitz, a Georgetown University researcher who co-authored a 2001 study on the individual health-insurance market for the Kaiser Family Foundation.

My husband and I are both self-employed and do not have any health insurance. We just simply cant afford it. In fact, we were barely able to afford a small life insurance policy.

I think that the companies that give health insurance should be like some car insurance companies that give deductions in the policy rate for having no wrecks.

Since we are rarely ever sick, it would be nice if the companies could deduct something from the monthly payments we would make for not getting sick. Or having to use the policy for anything for a set amount of time.

Health insurance is so expensive and its hard to find a reliable company for people like us.
