Default Increasing Investment Portfolio

My other half has come to the conclusion that he needs to invest more. Funny thing is he hasn't a clue on what he is wanting to invest in. He has asked for my help (of course).

Right now he only invests in the company he has worked for and is comfortable with that. However finding something else he is going to be comfortable with is going to be a daunting task.

I figure I will help HIM do some research, but let him do most of it. If he is serious enough about investing more and increasing his portfolio then he should be willing to do the work. Right??

Personally I still don't want to even risk making an investment. Things are still to shaky for my taste. Though eventually I would like to get back into the game and hopefully it will happen one of these days.
