Default Oil $120.00 a barrel gas could go to $5.00

Enough is enough they need to put a cap on these prices. People can't afford it now at $3.60 if it goes up any more we are all going to be stuck at home or walking.

Quote:
NEW YORK (May 5) -- Americans are already paying through the nose for gasoline, and they think it's only going to get worse.

Consumers' fears that they will have to pay more have intensified. A year ago, 79% thought gas would cost $4 by the end of 2007 and only 28% feared $5 gas.

At the same time, high prices seem to be easier to swallow now than it has been for most consumers in the past. Of the more than 1,000 American adults surveyed in the poll, conducted April 28-30, 60% said high fuel prices have caused hardship for them or their household. That's down from 72% in March and 66% during the same time last year.
As Oil Tops $120, Most Say $5 Gas Is Near

By DAVID GOLDMAN,

In my opinon Oil companies are making to much profit on our hardship. Is that what they are all about. You bet they don't care about the hard ship they are placing on the rest of the world as long as there pockets get alot fatter.

$5.00 a gallon is just absurd...Remember like 5 years ago, when gas was like $1.20??

I used to deliver pizzas when I was a lot younger (16 years ago) and could make a small fortune at the time - $15+ an hour. Not bad, considering min. wage was about $4 at the time. But of course then it wasn't uncommon to see gas for 80c a gallon either...

Nowadays if you were to deliver pizzas, you'd almost be paying Domino's or whatever to be able to work for them.

It's a shame. Delivering pizzas is a great job for teens, or even the retired person that wants to supplement their income. It's great for a quick fix too, if you're not working. I never knew any pizza place not to be hiring drivers at any given time.

I have to be careful now that I don't make any extra trips, like to the store or whatever. It didn't used to matter if I forgot something at the store, I'd just go back and pick it up, but now I just do without. If gas does go up to $5.00 per gallon, I'll have to cut spending somewhere else just to do the necessary driving (like to work), and I don't know what spending I could cut as I just make enough now to pay for necessities. We definitely need some help with the price of gas, but so far I haven't seen the government come up with a long term plan.

This gas price crap has me boiling mad. I used to be able
to fill my car for $20 and now I am lucky to get 5 gallons
of gas for that. How are we as an automotive moved nation
going to survive this.
I can't afford to run both of our vehicles but there are times
that we have to do so. I mean he works and I have to take
kids to the doctors. He can't take time off to do it because
he would loose his job over the missed days.
I wish that I was a kid again because then I wouldn't have
to be so stressed out and worried about tomorrow. As children
we were never concerned until it got here.
I pray that we find a solution quickly.
