Airlines Raising Prices Again

If you ask me buying an airplane ticket is a major purchase these days. It's ridiculous what they charge and the prices are going up for the fourth time already this year!

In 2010 prices went up three times, we have already surpassed that!

Of course they site the reason as being the rising cost for fuel and the fact that people are still watching their spending because of the recession.

Major U.S. airlines increased fares for domestic flights by $10 this weekend -- the fourth air fare hike so far this year, according to Seaney. This means that domestic air fares are about 12% higher, on average, than the same period last year, said Seaney.

My daughter will be leaving for france, Spain and Italy in less than two months and half of her trip cost is for her flights! It's unbelievable.

If your planning to fly somewhere, plan on spending more than you would have last year.

This stinks. There are a whole lot of people that depend on flights to get where they are going for either business or pleasure. Though soon people just aren't going to be able to afford it.

Everything is becoming a major purchase these days. I was flipping through channels a couple of days ago and stopped on one channel where they were talking about how prices of things are going up. I didn't watch much of it but they did say that the cost of things like toothpaste, shampoo's and other rather inexpensive items are also going to be going up in price.

I don't know what is going on but if prices of everything continues to increase, more and more people are going to be going with out the basic needs because they aren't going to be able to afford them!!

I hope that the prices don't jump to much or else your daughter may not be able to travel overseas!

Well my daughter has decided to take the train. It will cost her half the price for her and two kids to get to michigan from virginia.

It will take longer but she has traveled by train before. She says its more comfortable and no as crowded. Nice to know there is an option for some but if you commute for work that way I guess your screwed.
