Buying Donations

This is just crazy. I went and bought some shoes, toys, clothes and jackets which I planned on dropping them off some where to be given away to people who are in need of them.

Problem is so far I haven't found one place collecting this kind of stuff. I do know that Walmart is collecting canned goods for those who need it, but that has been it so far.

If I am correct organizations that do this stuff normally have their boxes out and ready to start collecting this kind of stuff in November. So what is going on this year??

I know that things like coats, shoes, toys and so on are needed by people as much as food is. I just don't understand why I am not seeing places to donate these things. Not to mention I spend a fair amount of money on this stuff to help people.
