Default Cash for Applicances

Cash for Appliances is a government funded program that gives consumers who purchase new, energy efficient applicances rebates for their purchases.

The purpose of this program is to get consumers to buy new energy efficient appliances that will save energy and also to boost retail sales to help boost the economy.

Quote:
Rebates are only available on appliances with the Energy Star logo, which meet the energy efficiency guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy.

This is a great program but it hasn't started in all states yet. It is making it's way around though so if you purchase appliances that display the Energy Star logo be sure and keep all of your paperwork because you may be entitled to a rebate.
