Default Honda Recall

Whats the deal lately? Have all the major foreign motor companies dropped the ball on their products making them cheaper and not as safely or what??? I have been hearing recall after recall lately!

Honda is recalling 379,000 U.S. vehicles in addition to a recall they had announced back in July.

The original recall was for 2001 and 2002 Accords and Civics as well as some 2002 model year Acura TL vehicles. The expansion is for 2001 and 2002 Accord, Civic, Odyssey, CR-V, and selected 2002 Acura TL vehicles.

The issue with these vehicles is the airbag inflator.

Quote:
Honda said the driver's airbag inflators in these certain vehicles may expand with too much pressure, which can cause the inflator casing to break and could result in injury or death.

Two other vehicles may be affected as well. They are Honda Pilot and Acura CL.

Just last month Honda had a seperate recall for 646,000 vehicles. That was for a power window switch problem which caused one known death.

Ithink that the problem is that we as a whole are forgetting about quality and worrying more about quantity and numbers.Selfishness tends to find it's way in each of our lives, and it seems that the wealthy have it worse than the rest of us.

When people are wealthy or doing well they are not satisfied, they wnat more therefore they get greedy. This seems to be happening more and more with the changing times.People just don't care like they used to anymore.

What happend to us taking pride in what we do?If these big companies would just not loose thier pride then things like this would not happen so often,Right?Someone knew that these problems were there before the product was even released probably, they just didn't want to slow the process down to fix it.Then again the numbers come into play.

Greed and selfishness has more to do with this problem then we all realize I think.

I agree every time you turn around there is yet another recall. I think I would much rather sink alot of money into a car that has already been around for several years than to purchase a new one that is most likely to get me killed for this reason or that reason.

Its scary that you cant purchase a new car, because you never know what is going to happen, and if something does happen you may not live through it to help put a stop to it.

Car companies are much to worried about the quanity rather than the quality of cars they are making and that puts way to many lives in danger.

Its just unbelievable that cars are some how being sold that have such problems that its costing people their lives.

I agree, what is going on with workmanship and quality? Is it that people are intentionally slacking so that car owners will have to spend more money?Or are they just getting so tight that they have laid off too many employees to cut cost that things are being overlooked.

It is b.s. though I can say,we are smatter and better than letting things like this happen like they have lately. If the government was doing thier job, this wouldn't happen so often with large companies. They are to worried about taking our rights away from us one at the time slowly so we don't actually see it happening until it is to late. What a government we have right now.I sure am not proud of them right now.Are you?
