Wow guys. If you have purchased a Toyota listen up. Federal regulators have recalled 110,000 Toyota pick-up trucks in twenty states and in D.C.
The recalls are for the Toyota Tundra model years 2000 through 2003.
They say that road salts can cause excessive rusting or "excessive corrosion" which can result in the spare tire falling off or rear brakeline damage causing brake failure.
The ask that you immediately remove the spare tire before even attempting to drive the vehicle to a dealer for repairs.

The states included in the recall are: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia.

Toyota will either replace the damaged portion of the vehicle or apply a rust-resistant compound depending on the extent of the damage.
