Default My Stove is Fried!

Back on Friday February 5th we had a pretty major snowstorm blow in and the weight of the snow on the trees caused lots of them to be uprooted and fall down. That of course knocked out the electricity. The electric was off for four days. That was quite miserable.

When the electricity came back on my stove started beeping and had this error message. It's a digital stove. I read the paperwork on the stove and it said if you get this error message to unplug the stove for 30 seconds and plug it back in and see if it still does it. Well we did that and of course it started beeping and flashing the error message again. The papers said if it continues to do that then you need to replace the control. So I priced the control unit and it costs $249.00!

I hate to put out $250 bucks for a stove that isn't new! You can purchase a brand spanking new one for $350.00!

Isn't this just my luck!

I think I'd rather buy a used one from somebody for around $100 instead of paying for that part!

You would be better off just to go buy a new one, unless the one you have is a very expensive one.

I had the compressor got out on my frig not to long ago and it would cost me more to fix it than buy a new one or a used one in really goos shape. They do have used appliance stores that warranty thier used products. Maybe you could see if you could fine one at them.
